Job Description

Good Neighbors Cambodia (GNC) is the field country office of Good Neighbors International working in 36 countries in the world. GNC is implementing long-term development program focusing on sponsorship, child protection, education, health, WASH, income generation & partnership building and advocacy in 6 Community Development Programs and 1 Social Enterprise in 4 provinces and 1 city of Cambodia. GNC is now working with key sustainability partners and relevant departments of government and NGOs to promote positive impacts for the vulnerable people, especially children. 

We are inviting motivated and qualified candidates to join our dynamic team for the following position:

  • Fundraising and Communication Officer, 1 position based in Phnom Penh
    Salary range: $445 - $725

Job Purpose

  • Promoting an innovation and competency of fundraising activities for extending the global, international and local funding acquisition.
  • Playing a crucial rule in grant proposal planning, writing and reflection to extend grant funding and financial sustainability.
  • Coordinating and overseeing all communication and public relation works of GN Cambodia.
  • Managing and coordinating the local grant and project implementation.
Job Responsibilities & Duties

II    Key Results

1.    Fundraising (30%)

  • Develop and manage supporting business processes, templates and tools.
  • Regularly research potential sponsors, donors and grant funding opportunities.
  • Organize offline and online fundraising events that lead to local and global donations. 
  • Maintain and record all sponsors, donors, stakeholders and fundraising documents.

2.    Grant Proposal Development (15%)

  • Research and develop supporting policy briefs and research papers
  • Assist developing project concept notes and proposals for local and global grants.
  • Assist coordinating and supporting task force team for grant writing processes. 
  • Manage and record the proposal submission, grant budget and supporting documents. 

3.    Local project management (20%)

  • Develop the supporting guidelines, templates and tools.
  • Coordinate and implement local projects and events.
  • Develop project reports for different donors and sponsors.

4.    Communication and Public Relation (25%)

  • Develop and manage supporting business processes, templates and tools.
  • Support developing communication materials.
  • Manage, coordinate and develop MSC documents, news and documentary films etc.
  • Maintain and extend internal, external and global communication and networks. 
  • Manage and maintain relationships with the media. 
  • Manage and maintain all communication materials of GNC.
  • Create and manage content of GNC’s social media.

5.    Leadership and management (10%)

  • Deliver relevant offline and online training courses for Head Office and CDP staff. 
  • Provide consultation to staff on fundraising, communication and public relation business. 
  • Organize regular meetings and reflection meetings with relevant staff.
  • Field monitoring and coaching visit to CDPs.

III    Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and manage supporting business processes, templates and tools that align with the GNC and global fundraising strategies and guidelines. 
  • Regularly research and report the potential sponsors, donors and grant funding opportunities to the management team and grant task force teams that lead to the decision-making. 
  • Coordinate and organize offline and online fundraising events that lead to local and global donations from sponsors, prospects, individual donors, major donors, corporate donors and foundations. 
  • Maintain and record all sponsors, donors, stakeholders and fundraising documents that help sharpen the effective grant funding acquisition.   
  • Research and develop supporting policy briefs and research papers that support grant proposal writing plans. 
  • Assist developing project concept notes and proposals for local and global grants opportunities. 
  • Assist coordinating and supporting management team and task force team for grant writing processes, following up and reporting. 
  • Manage and record the proposal submission, grant budget and supporting documents for better and effective grant proposal writing. 
  • Support collecting the required data and information from DM&E, CDPs and outsources when required.
  • Develop the supporting guidelines, key business processes, templates and tools that support the implementation and management of local grant projects. 
  • Coordinate and implement local projects and events in cooperation with relevant staff and Head Office and CDPs to ensure the achieves of project outcomes, goal and requirement.  
  • Conduct project monitoring and meeting with relevant staff, partners and stakeholders to strengthen the project implementation.
  • Develop project reports for different donors, sponsors and project natures. 
  • Develop and manage supporting business processes, templates and tools based upon the GNC and global strategy and guidelines.
  • Support developing communication and marketing materials signboard, leaflet, banners….
  • Manage, coordinate and develop annual report, story booklet, MSC documents, news and documentary films, newsletter etc. to promote GNC’s image, project achievement and attractive grant funding opportunities.
  • Maintain and extend internal, external and global communication and networks including NGOs, government, donors, sponsors and private sectors. 
  • Manage and maintain relationship with medias
  • Manage and maintain all communication materials of GNC.

Job Requirements
  • At least bachelor degree in English, public administration, international relation or other related fields.
  • At least 3-year experience in fundraising, communication, media and organizing any public events.
  • Ability to use video editing programs, graphic designs, photoshop, in-design, illustrator and relevant digital design tools. 
  • Cambodian national fluent in Khmer and English with writing, speaking and listening.
  • A person with creativity in digitization.
  • Good analytical, research and report writing skills in English.
  • Love social work and a strong understanding of community development in Cambodia.
  • Strong interest & motivation about fundraising.
  • Be able to travel to the provinces, especially the project sites 
  • Be able to work independently
  • Good communication protocol, creativity, interacting with different people, stakeholder and problem-solving skills.
  • High commitment, be honest, good personality, team spirit and opening to learn. 
Job Employment Terms/Benefits

Beside basic salary, the successful candidate will be offered a competitive salary and other benefits such as 13th month salary, seniority fund, health, life and accident insurance for 24 hour and phone card allowance. Moreover, a working condition comply and benefit with Cambodia Labor Law.
