Job Description
We are looking for qualified candidate to fill for the position below.
- Data Center Manager
Job Responsibilities & Duties
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the bank's data center, including managing staff, ensuring uptime and performance, and maintaining service level agreements.
- Ensure the security and integrity of the bank's data center, including physical security, access controls, and disaster recovery planning.
- Manage vendor relationships for hardware and software maintenance, support, and procurement.
- Monitor and optimize the data center's performance, including server utilization, storage capacity, and network bandwidth.
- Manage the data center's power and cooling infrastructure to ensure that it is efficient and cost-effective.
- Develop and implement procedures for routine maintenance and upgrades of hardware and software.
- Maintain documentation for the data center's configuration, processes, and procedures.
- Collaborate with other IT teams and senior management to ensure that the data center supports the bank's overall IT strategy.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience managing data center operations in a large-scale environment.
- Strong knowledge of data center technologies, including servers, storage, networking, and virtualization.
- Experience with disaster recovery planning and execution.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with other IT teams and senior management.
- Experience managing staff, including hiring, training, and performance management.
- Familiarity with banking applications and software, such as core banking systems, would be an advantage.
- Willingness to work outside of normal business hours to perform system maintenance and upgrades as required.
