Job Description
We are looking for qualified candidate to fill for the position below.
- Legal Manager
Job Responsibilities & Duties
- Assist Head of Legal with effective legal and ethical advice on business issues and company strategies
- Review legal documents and make sure that those documents are accurate, valid and compliance with Bank’s policy.
- Draft various legal documents and letters as required by the Bank from time to time.
- Assist Head of legal to formalize the legal documents and legal related letters.
- Provided legal advice to the Bank regarding legal matters when needed.
- Provide support to branches relating to legal issues.
- Liaise with external lawyer for litigation case.
- Handle other legal-related matters as required by the Bank.
- Prepare reports, letters and agreements
- Manage the legal implications of new projects of the company
- Protect the company from all legal litigations
- Ensure the company operates in compliance with applicable laws and regulations
- Responsible for monitoring of legislation and regulatory policies and practices for legal compliance issues
- Provide advises on legal compliances issue to various department heads and ensure that their current practices, contract and policies made are in compliance with regulation and law. To advise department head and management on deviation cases
- Review, draft and negotiate all type of legal documents, like contracts, letters of agreement, loan, leases, licenses, purchase agreement, acquisitions, employment contract, publications, advertisements etc. to protect the organization’s legal and business interests
- Provide mediation for labor disputes and work closely with government officials on the legal rights of the organization
- Take minutes of meeting and keep all records of the company
- Handle all matters related to business issues
- Perform any other duties as assigned by the Bank from time to time.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor degree in Law, Master is an asset.
- At least 6 years experience relating to legal work; experience in banking/financial institutions is an advantage.
- Ability to delegate, motivation or commitment, effective communication and presentation skill, Good interpersonal skill.
- Ability to work well autonomously and as part of a team.
- Excellent English language skills, Computer literate with knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications.
- Ability to work under pressure, cope with competing demands and prioritize tasks.
- Strong knowledge of Cambodia’s legal statutory requirements.
- Strong analytical and negotiation skills.
