The Project is looking for Various Positions to be home-based with visits to the provinces, the candidates will work under the overall supervision of Lead Technical Officer (LTO) of FAO Regional Office in Bangkok, in close consultation with the International Consultant on Food Security, Nutrition and Agriculture Policy, National Project Coordinator and counterparts, the Consultants is expected to undertake the following.
- Contract type: Personal Service Agreement
- Duty station: Home-based with visits to field sites
- Project Title: Creating Enabling Environments for Nutrition-Sensitive Food and Agriculture to Address Malnutrition
- Collect and document best examples with traditional knowledge that Future Smart Food has been effective in nutrition-enhancement and climate-resilience with income generation in the local/national/regional context.
- Participate in national dialogues and field survey, interviewing local stakeholders along the value chain, including production, post-harvest managements and consumption, analysing the main challenges and obstacles that Future Smart Food are facing, proposing relevant policies and technical interventions supporting Future Smart Food production and consumption.
- Based on evidence-based studies, drafting the country report with specific technical recommendations on promoting nutrition-sensitive and climate-resilience agriculture production and consumption through diversification of Future Smart Food.
- Perform any other tasks needed for the effective implementation of the project as appropriate
- Contribute to the preparation of a regional synthesis report (national component) on creating enabling environments for nutrition-sensitive and climate-smart food and agriculture especially on production and consumption of Future Smart Food from a food system perspective.
- Participate in the regional knowledge sharing workshop to revise/validate the report.
- An advanced degree in one of the following fields (nutrition, agriculture, food system) or related fields.
- At least 7 years relevant working experience in the above mentioned areas.
- Proven track record of having worked with nutrition, agricultural/food system at national/regional level
- Strong professional experience in identifying and analyzing nutritional, agricultural and ecological constraints and potentials with particular reference to policies and relevant gaps.
