Wathnakpheap (WP) is a local Cambodian NGO which was localised from International NGO, SKIP (Pestalozzi Children Village’s Foundation) and was registered with the Government since 1997. Wathnakpheap has more 15 years extensive experience working with a variety of partners, including local NGOs, international NGOs, and private companies, and for a wide range of donors, including government agencies, multilateral organisations and corporate foundations. Wathnakpheap has implemented projects in the areas of child labour, climate change adaptation, early childhood care and development, education, good governance, health, livelihoods, nutrition and WASH.
Currently we are seeking 1 qualified candidates to fill 1 positions as the following.
- Community Facilitators (01 Position)
- S/he facilitates communication with regional and local authorities, local child-related committees;
- S/he coaches to local authorities and core mother and mother leader to conduct monitoring and supporting their members.
- S/he monitors and coaches to children, parents, guardians and community to actively improve their parenting skills.
- S/he facilitate Community mobilizations.
- S/he coaches to CC and CCWC in organise village meeting and commune with meeting and commune planning process. Moreover, s/he has to participate/facilitate to ensure the demand of communities/mother groups on HB ECCD are heard and incorporate in to annual commune investment plan (CIP) and everyone have a share on it.
- S/he ensures timely implementation of project activities according to work plans developed with project management.
- S/he increases awareness of core mother, local authorities and community of the need of targeted early childhood education for children under the age of 6.
- S/he coordinates with Local Coordinator and Project Manager for technical training, as needed.
- S/he writes case study and lesson learn from the project and put in monthly report.
- S/he works closely with CWCC and core mother to make awareness of HB ECCD program
- S/he coordinates and collaborate with Department of Education at district and provincial level.
- S/he works in partnership with the local authorities (Commune Councils and District Office) and relevance stakeholders at district and commune level.
- S/he responds to coordination and connection between school and Commune Council.
- Bachelor degree and at least 2 years relevant experience relate to health.
- Proven leadership in the management of development projects and courage to truly advocate for the poorest families and disabilities people.
- Good knowledge on basic health care.
- Strong commitment to work in the communities.
- Knowledge on report writing.
- Good interpersonal, communication and presentation skills; good in spoken and written Khmer and English; computer literacy (MS Word, Excel and Email).
- This job will require the applicant to pass a criminal background check
