AMK Microfinance Institution Plc. is one of the largest microfinance institutions in Cambodia. AMK serves a large number of over 600,000 customers with more than 2,400 staffs nationwide.
- Enhance and establish compliance guidelines
- Conduct periodic internal review to ensure the internal compliance guides are documented, implemented and communicated to all relevant stakeholders.
- Conduct or direct internal investigation on compliance issues
- Assess product, policies & procedures to ensure it follows the applicable law and regulation
- Identify compliance issues that require follow up and investigation
- File appropriate reports with regulatory agency
- Maintain document of compliance activities and investigation outcome.
- Consult with corporate attorneys as necessary to address difficult legal compliance issues
- Discuss and advice emerging compliance issues with management
- Collaborate with human resources departments to ensure the implementation of consistent disciplinary action strategies in cases of compliance standard violations.
- Provide employee training on compliance related topics, policies, or procedures
- Provide assistance to internal or external auditors/regulators in compliance reviews
- Prepare management reports regarding compliance operations and progress.
- Report violations of compliance or regulatory standards to duly authorized enforcement agencies as appropriate or required
- Keep informed regarding pending industry changes, trends, and best practices and assess the potential impact of these changes on organizational processes
- Serve as a confidential point of contact for employees to communicate with management, seek clarification on issues or dilemmas, or report irregularities.
- Advice on legal impact related to policy, procedure, and process.
- At least Bachelor’s Degree in law or an equivalent qualification. Master degree is preferred.
- At least 5 years’ experience and with at least 2 years at a management level,
- Knowledge of banking and financial institution laws, company laws, and other relevant laws for microfinance institution is required.
- Proven leadership ability,
- Proven ability to set the priority of initiative to align with business need.
- Ability to construct business models and write business plans with financial projections.

- Excellent in English written and oral communication,
- Excellent interpersonal skill, strong Negotiation skill,
- Strong ability to present idea in business friendly and user friendly language,
- Meticulous approach to analysis, evaluation and problem solving,

AMK provides competitive salary package to its employees with multiple bonus and other benefits, including Khmer New Year bonus, Pchum Ben bonus, incentive, pension fund, 100% medical insurance for employee’s spouse and dependences for local treatment, 24 hours accident insurance, staff loan for education purpose with only 2% interest rate per year, USD 300 bonus for both maternity or paternity and up to USD 600 if surgery required, 18 days annual leave, capacity building per job requirement, and good working condition in accordance to the Cambodian Labor Law.
