Job Description

Bandos Komar Association is a Cambodian NGO localized from French NGO PARTAGE. Bandos Komar’s programs are supporting to children’s education in preschool, primary school and lower secondary school and promote sources of income of community in rural areas. Bandos Komar is now looking for commitment and qualified talents persons to fulfill the position below:

Job Responsibilities & Duties
  • Project Planning, Implementation, and M&E
  • Develop and implement detailed work plans (weekly, monthly, quarterly) and budgets.
  • Coordinate cashew production, processing, and marketing activities in targeted areas.
  • Conduct baseline and ongoing assessments of cashew farming and livelihoods.
  • Monitor project activities and track progress using participatory M&E tools.
  • Facilitate the collection and documentation of success stories, lessons learned, and case studies.
  • Produce accurate and timely narrative and data-based reports (monthly, quarterly, annual).
  • Technical Support and Capacity Building
  • Provide technical training and coaching to farmer groups on cashew cultivation, pest management, organic practices, post-harvest handling, and value addition.
  • Strengthen producer groups and cooperatives to enhance collective production and market accessibility
  • Support business planning and linkages to local and regional cashew markets.
  • Coordinate field demonstrations and exposure visits for farmers.
  • Stakeholder Engagement and Coordination
  • Establish and maintain good relationships with local authorities, agriculture offices (PDAFF), commune councils, village chiefs, and private sector actors.
  • Collaborate with relevant NGOs, traders, processors, and cashew buyers.
  • Mobilize communities and farmer groups to participate in project activities
  • Community Empowerment and Sustainability
  • Facilitate the establishment of sustainable cashew-based livelihoods in the community.
  • Promote gender inclusion, indigenous rights, and youth participation in project activities.
  • Support the development of farmer-led solutions and indigenous knowledge sharing
  • Help communities plan for project sustainability beyond the implementation phase
  • Child Protection and Safeguarding
  • Ensure awareness of child protection and safeguarding policies in project sites.
  • Promote safe environments for children in all project-related activities.
  • Other Duties
  • Participate in staff meetings, project reviews, and coordination forums.
  • Perform other duties assigned by the PM or PPM.
Job Requirements
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Agriculture, Agronomy, Rural Development, or relevant field.
Work History:
  • Agricultural or livelihood projects for 2 years as a minimum
Skills & Knowledge:General & Technical Skills
  • Experience with cash crop production, especially cashew, is a strong advantage.
  • Experience working with ethnic minority groups and remote communities.
  • Strong technical skills in cashew cultivation and post-harvest processing.
  • M&E and report writing skills.
  • Budget tracking and financial planning.
  • Ability to use Microsoft Office and data tools.
Soft Skills
  • Good facilitation, training, and coaching skills.
  • Good communication, problem-solving, and teamwork skills.
  • Honest, responsible, respectful, and culturally sensitive.
  • Willing to work in remote areas and stay overnight in villages.
  • Committed to community development and local empowerment.
  • Advocacy for children’s rights and gender equality.
