Job Description

Bethel Mission Organization (BMO) is a Christian non-governmental organization of non-profit dedicated to improving the capacities, livelihood and wellbeing of the people living in the graveyard, the slum, the poor rural areas and prisons by supporting their physical, mental, emotional and spiritual needs in accordance with Christ’s love regardless of race, color, gender, religion, and political tendency.

The position is financially supported by the Investment For Life (IFL), Netherlands. IFL is currently working to provide IT Literacy, Soft and Life Skills and Business Courses within 13 provinces in partnership with the 13 Departments of Education and 15 high schools. The project will expand to more high schools across the country. In addition, IFL Career Development Centre is established to additionally help the students who passed their high schools and need to pursue their higher education and employment in Phnom Penh.

We are seeking for a qualified Cambodian national to fill the position of a IT Specialist and Life Skills Trainer for IFL Project based in IFL Career Development Centre, Bethel Mission, Phnom Penh with some traveling to provinces.

Job Responsibilities & Duties
  • New school assessment for the project implementation
  • New computer class design and set up including networking
  • New lab installment and opening
  • Conduct Train the trainers to IT (MS offices, email and internet and maintenance) and Life Skill training teachers to the school teachers so that they can teach the students.
  • Manage the Repair and Maintenance of computers in the targeted schools
  • Develop IT Literacy and Life Skill training curriculum, training, coaching and reflection
  • Make sure the Enrollment, Final exam and Graduation for the schools once every six months
  • Conduct Annual Reflection Workshop with the target schools
  • Work with Department of Education for the New and the Renewal of the Project Agreement
  • Build a strong and effective partnership and collaboration with DoE, OoE, Principals and school teachers to support the project targets and implementation
  • Provide a Service of excellence to the high graduate enrollment at IFL Career Development Centre (CDC)
  • To well apply the policies of BMO including HR, Finance, Admin, Procurement and other policies oriented
  • Ensure the child protection and harassment policy are applied in CDC and IFL Housing.
  • Counsel and assist on the study orientation, the university selection and the placement of the students.
  • Manage and coordinate the boost training package (English, Computer, CV writing, interviewing and job search, Advanced Business Course and other advanced courses related) and short courses training.
  • Coach the students and conduct a regular meeting with alumni students to promote the new enrollment and support.
  • Controll all aspects of accounting, budgeting, financial forecasting, asset management and administration execution.
  • To send financial reports to general manager, project oversight and IFL director within default time or any urgent request.

Languages:
  • Khmer - Good
  • English - Good
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in IT or related field.
Work History:
  • At least of practical experience in IT, dormitory management, counselling, an educational environment instructing, supervising and advising the students for 2 years
Skills & Knowledge:General & Technical Skills
  • Experience in a business setting performing placement, employment training, or related function.
  • Good written and oral communications in Khmer & English languages
  • Administration knowledge and practice
  • Good Customer Service and Good Report writing
Soft Skills
  • Interested in working in a multicultural environment.
  • Self-motivated, self-starter, demonstrated initiative and a strong desire to improve processes
  • Conflict resolution and decision making
  • Good Communication and Facilitation
