- Student Support
- Provide individual and group counseling to students on academic, personal, social, and emotional issues.
- Help students develop coping strategies, problem-solving skills, and resilience.
- Support students in developing healthy peer relationships and positive behavior.
- Assist students in setting realistic academic and personal goals.
- Collaboration
- Work closely with teachers to identify and support students with academic or behavioral challenges.
- Partner with parents/guardians to address students’ needs and progress.
- Collaborate with school leadership in developing student well-being initiatives, policies, and programs.
- Crisis Intervention
- Provide immediate support for students in crisis (emotional, behavioral, or social emergencies).
- Refer students and families to external professionals or services when specialized intervention is required.
- Program Development
- Design and implement counseling programs that promote mental health, inclusivity, and well-being.
- Organize workshops and awareness campaigns on topics such as bullying prevention, stress management, and emotional intelligence.
- Support positive school culture and contribute to extracurricular activities that enhance student development.
- Administrative
- Maintain accurate and confidential records of counseling sessions and student progress.
- Prepare reports for school management when required.
- Stay updated with current best practices in school counseling and child development.
- Khmer - Fluent
- English - Fluent
- Bachelor's Degree
- Master's Degree in Psychology, Counseling, Education, or a related field.
- Relevant certification or license.
- Previous experience in school counseling or child/adolescent support preferred.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and conflict-resolution skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and professional ethics at all times.
- Empathy, patience, and commitment to student well-being.
- Language: Proficiency in English and Khmer is preferred.
