Job Responsibilities & Duties
- Training Program Development and Implementation
- Lead the development of new training programs and curriculum across various training departments such as Business, ICT, Hospitality, Engineering, and Language.
- Develop and design comprehensive training programs, materials (syllabi, textbooks, lesson plans), and courses that are competency-based.
- Collaborate with subject matter experts (SMEs) and instructors to ensure content accuracy, relevance, and industry alignment.
- Conduct needs assessments and gap analyses to identify new training requirements and opportunities for expansion.
- Update and enhance existing training materials and curricula as needed to maintain high quality and current standards.
- Develop and implement diverse pedagogical strategies such as instructor-led training, industry exposure programs, blended learning, e-learning, or mobile learning to ensure students efficiently achieve learning competencies at the appropriate level.
- Define and set up the necessary training equipment, technological resources, and practical facilities required for program delivery.
- Industry and Expert Engagement
- Stay current with industry trends, best practices, and new technologies in training and professional development across all relevant sectors.
- Connect with external experts and partners to consult on the development and continuous strengthening of CITA's training programs.
- Relate to industry partners and students to actively promote and communicate available training and learning opportunities and resources.
- Maintain robust relationships with partners to support program sustainability and relevance.
- Training Program Monitoring and Quality Assurance
- Evaluate the effectiveness of training programs through assessments, feedback mechanisms (student/employer surveys), and performance metrics.
- Ensure that all curriculum is aligned with the Cambodian Qualification Framework (CQF) and maintains consistency across different subjects, courses, and levels within the Institute.
- Conduct regular evaluation and review cycles of training materials and delivery methods to drive continuous program improvement.
- Management and Leadership Support
- Be part of the strategic and direction team of the Institute
- Clarify and align department and individual expectations regarding program development standards and timelines.
- Support the creation of department goals and the setting up of individual objectives for curriculum staff, assisting in performance evaluation.
- Motivate and promote a positive organizational culture and adherence to the values of the Institute.
Job Requirements
Languages:
- Khmer - Fluent
- English - Fluent
- Master's Degree in Education, Vocational Education, Business Administration, Organizational Development, or a related technical field.
- Progressive experience in program development, curriculum management, or academic leadership, preferably within a Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) institution or post-secondary setting for 3 to 5 years as a minimum
- At least of experience managing, mentoring, and developing a team of academic/program staff and overseeing multiple departments for 3 years
- TVET Knowledge: Deep understanding of the vocational training landscape in Cambodia, including knowledge of relevant government policies, accreditation processes, and in-demand industry skills.
- Proven ability to design training programs using various modern pedagogical approaches (blended, e-learning, competency-based).
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both Khmer and English are essential.
