Job Description
The Cambodia University of Technology and Science (CamTech) was established in 2021 with the vision of becoming a leading university in technology and science to support Cambodia’s future prosperity. Located in Chroy Changva Satellite City, Phnom Penh, CamTech maintains strong links between higher education, industry, and applied research.
Job Responsibilities & Duties
- Laboratory Support
- Assist in setting up laboratory experiments, demonstrations, and research activities.
- Prepare materials, equipment, and reagents required for laboratory work.
- Support researchers, lecturers, and students during laboratory sessions and research projects.
- Equipment and Facilities Management
- Operate, maintain, and clean laboratory equipment according to standard operating procedures.
- Monitor laboratory supplies and assist in inventory management and procurement requests.
- Report equipment malfunctions and assist in basic troubleshooting and maintenance.
- Research and Innovation Support
- Assist in data collection, sample preparation, and basic analysis as directed by supervisors.
- Support ongoing research, innovation, and prototype development activities.
- Maintain accurate records of experiments, procedures, and laboratory usage.
- Safety and Compliance
- Ensure compliance with laboratory safety rules, policies, and procedures.
- Promote good laboratory practices and proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Assist in waste management and disposal in accordance with safety and environmental regulations.
- Administration and Reporting
- Maintain laboratory logbooks, inventory records, and documentation.
- Assist in preparing reports related to laboratory activities and research support.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor to support research and innovation objectives.
Job Requirements
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in or diploma in Science, Engineering, Technology, or a related field.
- Basic knowledge of laboratory procedures and equipment.
- Prior laboratory or research experience is an advantage.
- Basic computer skills (MS Office, data entry, record keeping).
- Awareness of laboratory safety practices.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
