Job Description
The Cambodia University of Technology and Science (CamTech) was established in 2021 with the vision of becoming a leading university in technology and science to support Cambodia’s future prosperity. Located in Chroy Changva Satellite City, Phnom Penh, CamTech maintains strong links between higher education, industry, and applied research.
Job Responsibilities & Duties
- Prepare and deliver high-quality lectures, labs, and seminars in Software Engineering courses.
- Has the ability to deliver courses for one or more topics including Algorithms, Software Development, System Design, Systems Analysis, Web Development, Mobile Development, etc.).
- Develop course materials, including syllabus, lecture notes, assignments, exams, and project outlines that align with current industry practices.
- Incorporate practical learning experiences through projects, case studies, and hands-on exercises.
- Mentor and advise students on academic and career paths, fostering an environment for students to explore their strengths.
- Provide timely feedback on assignments and exams, addressing individual learning needs and challenges.
- Develop partnerships with industry professionals to facilitate guest lectures, internships, and real-world projects for students.
- Stay updated on technological advancements and industry trends to integrate new knowledge into the curriculum.
- Participate in faculty meetings, curriculum development, student assessment, and other administrative tasks as needed.
- Assist in the continuous review and improvement of the Software Engineering program to meet accreditation standards and industry demands.
Job Requirements
Qualifications:
- Master's Degree in or Ph.D. in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Teaching experience at the university level is preferred.
- Professional experience in the software industry is an asset.
- Proficiency in programming languages (e.g., Java, Python, C++), development frameworks, and relevant software tools.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage students effectively.
- Ability to adapt teaching methods to accommodate diverse learning styles.
