Job Description
The Cambodia University of Technology and Science (CamTech) was established in 2021 with the vision of becoming a leading university in technology and science to support Cambodia’s future prosperity. Located in Chroy Changva Satellite City, Phnom Penh, CamTech maintains strong links between higher education, industry, and applied research.
Job Responsibilities & Duties
- Teaching & Curriculum Development:
- Deliver engaging lectures, labs, and workshops in Data Science and AI courses, covering topics such as Machine Learning, Deep Learning, Data Analytics, Natural Language Processing, and Data Visualization.
- Develop and update course materials, including syllabus, assignments, projects, and exams that reflect current industry standards and emerging technologies.
- Facilitate hands-on learning experiences through coding labs, case studies, and projects that allow students to apply concepts to real-world data challenges.
- Guide and mentor students in academic projects, research initiatives, and career development, providing feedback to enhance their skills and understanding.
- Encourage students to pursue industry-relevant certifications and support them in preparing for data science and AI roles in the industry.
- Build partnerships with industry stakeholders to facilitate guest lectures, internships, and collaborative projects.
- Stay current with industry trends and technological advancements in Data Science and AI, integrating new knowledge into the curriculum.
Job Requirements
Qualifications:
- Master's Degree in or Ph.D. in Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Prior teaching experience at the university level is preferred.
- Relevant industry experience in Data Science, AI, or related roles (e.g., Data Scientist, AI Engineer, Machine Learning Specialist) is highly beneficial.
- Proficiency in programming languages and tools commonly used in Data Science and AI (e.g., Python, SQL, TensorFlow, Keras, PyTorch).
- Strong foundation in data analysis, machine learning algorithms, and statistical modeling.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to simplify complex topics.
- Ability to adapt teaching methods to accommodate diverse learning styles.
- Commitment to continuous learning and staying updated on AI and data science advancements.
- A collaborative attitude, with an interest in contributing to department and institutional goals.
