Established since 1948, ChorogUsan for children (formerly ChildFund Korea) has been working in South Korea to protect children's rights and help children suffering from poverty and disease, and started global programs to create a world where children are happy since 1997.
ChorogUsan for children focuses on advocacy activities to protect the rights of all children, strengthen welfare programs based on children’s rights under the UN Convention on the Rights of Children, actively respond to social issues, humanitarian aids, and other critical issues for children such as Education, Public Health, WASH, Climate Change, and strive to ensure children’s rights.
ChorogUsan for children’s Country Office in Cambodia is currently piloting Boeung Trabek Child Development Project (BT CDP) in Phnom Penh, with the goal of breaking the vicious cycle of poverty experienced by vulnerable children in Boeung Trabek slum area. The project adopts a community-based, multi-sectoral approach that integrates community and center-based childcare services. Through this, the project aims to build a sustainable support system encompassing education, health, WASH, nutrition, and child protection.
We are seeking to employe a qualified candidate for the positions below:
- Plan and deliver student-centered lessons in Khmer Literacy (reading, writing, speaking), Mathematics (numeracy, basic operations, logic) and Art.
- Apply active learning methodologies (play-based for younger children, drawing activity).
- Develop lesson plans and teaching aids (games, drawing, visual tools)
- Adapt teaching materials to support "slow learners" or children with different developmental needs.
- Create a safe, inclusive, and "child-friendly" classroom environment.
- Promote positive discipline and Khmer values such as respect and politeness.
- Conduct initial assessments to determine each child's literacy and numeracy level.
- Track student progresses through regular quizzes and observational reports.
- Identify children who need extra emotional or academic support and collaborate with the project staff
- Undergraduate Degree in year 3 or 4 or Graduated
- Knowledge of Primary/Early Childhood Education
- Strong understanding of the MoEYS National Curriculum.
- Knowledge of child development and must enjoy working with children
- Khmer Literature, Mathematics, or Primary/Early Childhood Education) or a Teaching Certificate from a recognized pedagogical center is preferred
- Available maximum 4 hours per day
- Must highly motivated proactive to try new things
- Be punctual and honesty and friendly
