As a WASC accredited education institution Footprints International School considers innovative approaches of teaching and learning the centric methodology to gear students’ education towards the school wide learner outcomes (SLOs).
It shall support the students in developing a growth mindset that leads to habits of lifelong learning on the one hand and, on the other hand, instills a global mindset through which the students adopt 21st-century skills and healthy and sustainable living practices.
Creativity shall be fostered through an emphasis on an integrative and experiential learning approach to Sciences, Technology, Engineering, the Arts and Mathematics (STEAM).
Community Engaged Learning in the context of the importance of the Khmer Language and Culture for the FIS families is one key initiative to ensure that learning is authentic and locally relevant.
Another key initiative “fostering love for reading” addresses critical learner needs identified in the areas of literacy, in particular for the younger learners.

We are looking for enthusiastic and experienced teachers and staff to join our team in various capacities in the upcoming school.
- Holistic Development Teaching Coordinator
- Curriculum Development, Agency Building and Teaching
- Develop and implement a comprehensive curriculum on Health, Safety, Wellbeing, Social Emotional Learning, and Career Orientation in collaboration with the subject leaders and other campus counterparts, ensuring alignment with the school-wide Student Learner Outcomes (SLOs) and agreed academic curriculum - including short-term and long-term instructional plans that encompass community services.
- Identify and deliver age-appropriate lessons/campaign messages on child protection and safeguarding to foster a culture of safety, responsibility, and respect across campuses.
- Create an engaging, student-centered classroom environment using diverse and inclusive teaching strategies for the students to engage in their learning.
- Integrate service learning into the curriculum to encourage students to contribute actively to their local and global communities, supporting SLOs in leadership and compassionate citizenship.
- Create newsletters and other communication materials for the class, ensuring transparency and engagement with parents.
- Complete student report cards in each term/semester for each student and maintain confidential records and reports for mandatory career guidance for grade 8, 11 and 12.
- Organize Parent-Teacher conferences at the end of each term/semester to discuss student progress.
- Attend all school functions, public seminars and other professional development activities
- Career Orientation and Holistic Coaching for Students’ Success
- Act as a trusted point of contact for student safety concerns in collaboration with the school’s Child Protection Team to ensure the students’ overall wellbeing and success readiness.
- Develop a career and higher education orientation program for all Secondary students and assist them in developing career plans, including educational pathways, training programs, community events, internships, and job search strategies.
- Conduct assessments to identify students' interests, skills, values, strength as well as areas for development and personalizing career pathways and plannings.
- Monitor, track, and evaluate as well as ensure the timely feedback and interventions on the students' progress in subject-specific competencies such as self-awareness and responsible decision-making by collaboratively developing Table of Specification that aligns with summative assessments for all grades, including the exams for grades 9-12, in accordance to the graduation requirements.
- Establish and maintain a platform to communicate with and engage alumni in school activities as well as tracking their university and career placements and success rate/data.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, job market demands, and career development resources to provide accurate and relevant information to students.
- Community Engagement and Wellbeing Coordination
- Work with the Focus on Learning Committee (Senior Leadership Team) on the development and achievement of the relevant schoolwide action plan goals and to provide evidence and reflection on the work achievement, progress and continuing improvement plans.
- Work with the Community Engagement team to establish aspired cooperation with other academic institutions with the aim to provide comprehensive career and academic orientation and opportunities to the students.
- Provide to the Community Engagement team information to promote the school’s initiatives in the area of student career advising via social and other media
- Establish connections with alumni to build a broader community for Footprints International School.
- Organize and lead regular meetings, including but not limited to grade level meetings, to discuss progress, challenges, and strategies for enhancing academic, career and wellbeing programs.
- Organize training sessions and workshops for staff to enhance their skills in supporting students' career and wellbeing needs.
- Maintain regular communication with the CWCE to support the implementation of wellbeing strategies across the programme.
- Recognised teaching qualification with at least 2 years practical experience as a teacher within an international secondary school program.
- Knowledge of career assessment tools, career advising techniques, and career development theories. Certification or license in career counseling or related areas is a plus.
- Native-level English proficiency with strong communication, interpersonal, and counseling skills to work effectively with diverse student populations.
- Experience in career counseling, advising, or related roles, preferably in an educational or counseling setting.
- Effectively manage time in a collegial manner using Google Suite tools, fostering collaboration and ensuring efficient workflow among team members.
- Experience of working with the established systems of practice within Footprints International School is a plus.
- A team leader and player and visionary for holistic development in education.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality, respect student privacy, and adhere to ethical guidelines in career advising and guidance practices.
- Exemplary record of professional and personal integrity.
- Clear criminal record check from home country or in Cambodia, no longer than six months.
