Job Responsibilities & Duties
- Lead and manage procurement operations for raw materials, active ingredients, solvents, adjuvants, and packaging specific to pesticide production.
- Develop sourcing strategies aligned with company cost, quality, and sustainability objectives.
- Identify, evaluate, and approve suppliers (domestic & international), ensuring compliance with pesticide regulations and company standards.
- Negotiate pricing, payment terms, and long-term supply contracts directly with manufacturers and distributors.
- Monitor market fluctuations of agrochemical raw materials and provide strategic purchasing recommendations to Managing Director.
- Oversee all import/export documentation in line with customs, MoA, FAO/WHO, and other regulatory requirements.
- Build and maintain strong supplier relationships, ensuring consistent quality and reliable supply.
- Provide regular procurement reports to Managing Director, highlighting cost savings, supplier performance, and risk management.
- Supervise procurement staff (if any) and ensure proper training and compliance with company procedures.
Job Requirements
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Business, Supply Chain, Chemistry, or Agriculture.
- Experience in procurement, preferably in agrochemical or chemical industries for 5 years
- Knowledge of international trade regulations and pesticide compliance.
- Excellent communication, analytical, and reporting skills.
- Strong negotiation and supplier management skills.
- Ability to work independently and make strategic decisions.
