GIZ is a federally owned enterprise and is supporting the German Government in achieving its objectives in the field of international cooperation for sustainable development.
The project “EU-German Cambodia Partnership for Sustainable Agriculture and Food Systems” EU-German CAPSAFE is a co-funded project between the European Union and the German Federal Ministry of Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) under the team Europe Initiative 1 ‘‘Sustainable landscapes, forests and agriculture’’.
The “Improving value addition in the mango value chain in Cambodia” (MangoPPP) Project is a part of Green Cluster initiative of GIZ Cambodia with the aim to support the Cambodian government to reduce greenhouse gas emission and improve the agriculture sector while enhancing food and nutrition security. The MangoPPP project is a private-public-partnership project, which is co-implemented by GIZ and its partners from Kirirom Food Production Co., Ltd. (K.F.P), Angkor Green Investment and Development (AGID), and Grove Fruit Growers (GFG). The different parties are bringing together local processing, agricultural expertise, and export facilitation to build a stable and sustainable mango sector in Cambodia particularly in Kampong Speu, Kampong Thom, and Kampong Chhang province. To achieve this goal, the project supports local Agricultural Cooperatives (ACs) and farmers in developing and professionalizing their business and production methods through gender-balanced training, post-harvest and sustainable farming practices, and the introduction of technologies to reduce mango waste as well as promoting sector coordination through the establishment of a Mango Federation.

- Content Support: Assist in drafting and designing communication materials such as presentations, training content, and farmer success stories for use on social media, newsletters, press releases, and websites.
- Coordination & Outreach: Support the implementation of communication activities in collaboration with project partners, increasing the outreach for events, training, and workshops.
- Media & Stakeholder Management: Keep contact lists of stakeholders and media up to date; help monitor project activities and media coverage. Update on communication outcomes and propose improvement measures.
- Translation & Admin Support: Provide interpretation and translation between Khmer and English during meetings and for written documents; assist with taking meeting minutes and preparing basic reports.
- General Support: Perform other projects and cluster tasks assigned by the project manager .
- Potential new work packages proposed by the intern in close coordination with the project team.
- Undergraduate (or recent graduate) in Communications, Public Relations, Design Business Administration, Agronomy or a related field
- Familiar with social media platforms and basic content creation tools. Interest in public relations, media, or content creation, with any prior experience in these areas considered an advantage
- Confident use of the MS Office suite and related programs
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Willingness to support in field visits with the project team
- Excellent communication skills in both Khmer and English (spoken and written)
- Strong interest in community development and sustainable agriculture- and food-systems to contribute to GIZs vision of sustainable development
