Job Description
We are now looking for qualified candidate to fulfill the position below:
Job Responsibilities & Duties
- Maintain overall garden health through proper watering, fertilizing, and pest control.
- Conduct seasonal planting activities and ensure the right plant selection according to climate and soil conditions.
- Monitor plant growth and identify any disease or pest problems early.
- Assist in designing flower, garden layouts, and decorative plant arrangements.
- Prepare soil, compost, and garden beds following professional horticulture standards.
- Maintain pathways, borders, and garden structures (pots, trellises, hedges, etc.).
- Use and maintain gardening equipment (sprayers, trimmers, lawn mowers, irrigation tools).
- Ensure tools are cleaned, stored, and serviced regularly.
- Follow safe handling procedures for fertilizers, chemicals, and gardening tools.
- Maintain clean, organized, and hazard-free garden areas.
- Apply sustainable gardening methods (water-saving irrigation, organic fertilizers, etc.) when possible.
- Report garden conditions, issues, or improvement ideas to the supervisor.
- Maintain records of planting schedules, fertilizer applications, and pest treatments.
- Work collaboratively with facility teams to ensure the landscape meets safety standards.
Job Requirements
Skills & Knowledge:General & Technical Skills
- Diploma or Certificate in Agriculture, Horticulture, or Plant Science from a recognized school.
- Strong knowledge of plant species, soil types, fertilizers, and pest management.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting, bending, and outdoor work.
- Experience in garden maintenance or landscaping (school internship experience acceptable).
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Honest, reliable, and with strong attention to detail.
- Passion for plants and nature.
- Creative mindset for flower arrangement and garden design.
- Knowledge of sustainable/organic gardening practices.
- Ability to identify and solve plant health problems quickly.
