iDE has been active in Cambodia since 1994 with a focus on agriculture, climate and resilience, food security and nutrition, and water, sanitation, and hygiene (WASH). iDE Cambodia supports entrepreneurs and social enterprises, while facilitating the inclusive and resilient development of value chains and business models for affordable products and services in our target sectors. We have also introduced successful research and pilots on clean cookstoves and solid waste management, with a focus on plastic waste recycling and circularity. With a market driven approach, iDE Cambodia has reached about 1.2 million households, approximately 6 million people.
- The Nutrition Technical Intern will support day-to-day nutrition-related programming through implementation support, monitoring, documentation, and coordination with field teams and partners.
- Support implementation of nutrition-sensitive activities, including school feeding, food safety in school, and community-based nutrition interventions.
- Assist in monitoring food preparation, hygiene practices, and meal quality against project standards.
- Support collection and compilation of nutrition-related monitoring data (e.g., attendance, meal coverage, basic indicators).
- Assist with nutrition assessments, surveys, and spot checks under supervision.
- Document nutrition activities, challenges, and lessons learned from field visits.
- Contribute nutrition-related inputs to monthly, quarterly, and donor reports.
- Support coordination with schools, teachers, community groups, and local stakeholders.
- Assist in reviewing and developing simple nutrition education or behavior change materials.
- Support the project team to conduct a community event on nutrition-related topics.
- Bachelor's Degree in Nutrition, Public Health, Food Science, or related fields.
- Knowledge of nutrition-sensitive issues: Understanding of how agriculture and WASH intersect with nutrition.
- Ability to collect, analyze, and interpret nutrition-related data.
- Willing to work in a field setting and support diverse project activities.
- Strong interpersonal skills to engage with the community and team members.
- Passion for improving nutrition outcomes and contributing to the project outcome.
