Job Description
We are looking for qualified candidate to fill for the position below.
- API Engineer (Backend Developer – PHP / PostgreSQL / Redis)
Job Responsibilities & Duties
- Design, build, and maintain robust RESTful APIs using PHP
- Define API architecture, request/response structures, and authentication logic
- Write efficient SQL queries and optimize data models in PostgreSQL
- Utilize Redis for caching, temporary storage, and message queuing
- Produce clear API documentation (e.g., Swagger, Postman collections)
- Collaborate with frontend, QA, and product teams to deliver features
- Diagnose, debug, and resolve backend performance and stability issues
Job Requirements
- Proficient in PHP (Laravel, Lumen, or similar frameworks preferred)
- Strong understanding of RESTful API standards and best practices
- Solid experience with PostgreSQL and SQL performance tuning
- Familiarity with Redis data structures (String, Hash, List, Set, Sorted Set) and use cases
- Experience with version control (Git) and team-based development
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently
- Experience with API authentication mechanisms (JWT, OAuth2)
- Knowledge of WebSocket for real-time communication
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitLab CI, Jenkins)
- Experience working in Docker, Nginx, and Linux environments
- Redis-based task queue or pub/sub system implementation experience
