Job Description
The project “Improvement of Disposal Capacity of Plastic Litter in Urban Provinces” aims to strengthen urban waste management systems, reduce plastic pollution, and improve environmental sustainability in targeted urban provinces.
The project focuses on enhancing plastic waste collection, sorting, recycling, and disposal capacity through institutional strengthening, community engagement, and technical support. And we looking for Admin and Finance officer and Project officer to support us.
Job Responsibilities & Duties
- Task 1: Baseline Assessment
- Conduct baseline study on plastic usage and waste practices
- Identify priority intervention areas
- Task 2: Guideline & Toolkit Development
- Develop Plastic-Free Tourism Zone guidelines
- Provide practical tools for businesses (hotels, restaurants, operators)
- Task 3: Pilot Implementation
- Support rollout of pilot zones
- Introduce waste segregation systems and alternatives
- Task 4: Awareness & Capacity Building
- Conduct workshops and training sessions
- Develop awareness materials and campaigns
- Task 5: Monitoring & Certification
- Develop certification/label system
- Establish monitoring and reporting mechanisms
Job Requirements
Qualifications:
- Master's Degree in environmental science, waste management, tourism, or related field
- Experience in waste management or environmental projects for 7 years as a minimum
- Experience in behaviour change and community engagement
- Knowledge of plastic reduction strategies
- Field implementation
- Training and facilitation
- Monitoring and evaluation
