The Institut Pasteur du Cambodge (IPC) is a Cambodian non-for-profit research institution established in 1953, IPC is today a scientific research establishment declared of public utility placed under the high patronage of the Ministry of Health of the Kingdom of Cambodia and under the responsibility of the Institute Pasteur on the scientific and technical levels. The IPC is a member of the Pasteur Network, which brings together 33 institutes present on five continents. It shares the Pasteurian values and the ethical charter to which the Pasteur Institutes are bound. The IPC has more than 300 employees, including about 30 expatriates of 10 nationalities and includes 6 research units. It carries out research activities in health biology, public health and service activities (Medical Biology Laboratory, vaccinations and water and food analyses) and training.
The Immunology Unit at IPC has been established 10 years ago and performs cutting edge research in the field of vector-borne diseases. The Unit has been instrumental in capacity building in immunology. Within the framework of pandemic preparedness, the Unit has established a single cell analysis platform and a monoclonal antibody production platform. Members of the Unit are leading and are involved in multi-partner international research projects funded by Welcome Trust, NIH, the Pasteur Network and other important international funders.

- Provides independent advice, guidance, and assurance on biorisk management issues
- Verifies that all biorisks are addressed
- Advises on or participates in the investigation, follow-up of incidents/accidents, and refers these to the OHS Committee, where appropriate
- Supports the implementation and maintenance of biosafety and biosecurity protocols, and conduct routine inspections
- Helps monitoring compliance with relevant national and international biosafety and biosecurity standards
- Assists with risk assessments, implement the corrective actions, and contributes to training initiatives
- Ensures that relevant and up-to-date information and advice on biorisk management is made available to relevant personnel if necessary;
- Ensures proper documentation and record-keeping for all safety activities
- Develops, implements, and monitors biorisk management programs
- Maintains proper documentation to support safe, secure, and efficient laboratory operations;
- Collaborates with multidisciplinary teams to ensure adherence to biosafety and biosecurity protocols;
- Conducts internal audits and management review
- Gives support to the Quality (ISO 17025:2017 – Calibration Laboratory) and Biobank Management (ISO 20387:2018)
- Gives assistance and backup the Quality System Manager in case of absence
- Performs other tasks assigned by the Manager.

- French is preferred
- Bachelor's Degree in or Engineering Degree in biotechnology, public health, or related fields
- Good knowledge in good laboratory practices
- Good knowledge in biosafety and biosecurity
- Good knowledge in computer and Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint
- Good knowledge in handling pathogens is a plus
- Have trainings in biorisk management in a plus
- Knowledge in ISO 17025, ISO 35001, and ISO 20387 is a plus
- Experience in working with documentation management is plus.
