Kampongsom Language Academy (KLA) is one of the leading language schools in providing language education in Preah Sihanouk Province. Our vision is to ensure that pupils are holistically developed in order to assist them in contributing and playing a fulfilling role in their own community. We see the development of their language skills as being central to this process. We believe that the ability of our pupils to communicate fluently, confidently and effectively will contribute greatly to the development of their self-esteem and their personal growth. We also believe that children leaving our school should have a competency in all aspects of the English language. We also see the teaching of English as something which underpins all other subjects across all educational levels. We believe that language learning is a tool for lifelong learning. We are now looking for qualified candidate to fulfill the position below:
- Prepare lesson plans and teach English according to course the syllabus
- Bring a lot of energy and enthusiasm to the classroom
- Prepare teaching materials to ensure each lesson objectives are achieved
- Keep a record of what has been taught and the students’ progress
- Lead by example by being punctual, organized, and always being friendly, polite, and understanding towards the students and staff members
- Guide the students through their learning tasks and allow them to find answers by themselves, work independently, and ask probing questions to put them on the right path
- Encourage students and praise them for their effort without embarrassing them for incorrect answers or inaccurate language
- Attend the meeting, workshop, or seminar as required
- Participate in activities or event as requested
- English - Good
- Bachelor's Degree in English Literature or related field
- Undergraduate Degree in year 2 or year 3 students are also encouraged to apply
- Experience in teaching for more than for 1 year is preferred
- Experience in academic work is an asset
- Good written and oral communication skills in English
- Ability to work well under tight deadlines and deliver effective result
- Hard working and self-motivated person, honest, reliable, loyal, responsible, and very good team work, willing to work with diversified international team
