Khmer Water Supply Holding (“KWSH”) is a private water utility operator committed to expanding access to clean and affordable piped water across rural Cambodia. The company acquires and manages piped water stations in which we introduce our expertise to standardize operations, improve water quality, and build new infrastructure to connect more households.
The company is now a key player in the sector, operating five stations with >30,000 connections consuming 4 billion liters of water in 2025. In 2024, the Ministry of Industry recognized KWSH as operating the top two large scale stations and top two medium scale stations in the country.
KWSH is now entering a new growth phase supported by significant new funding. Over the coming years, the company plans to expand through new station acquisitions and major infrastructure buildouts. To support this scaling strategy, KWSH is strengthening in-house electrical and electromechanical capacity within its Head Office engineering team.
- Pumping Systems and Electromechanical Infrastructure
- Supporting specification, sizing, selection, installation, commissioning, and maintenance of water pumps and related electromechanical equipment.
- Supporting troubleshooting and performance optimization of pumping systems across stations.
- Coordinating between engineering and operations on electromechanical projects.
- Supporting review of technical proposals related to electromechanical systems from external vendors, including specifications, quotations, and deliverables.
- Supporting lifecycle management and replacement planning for critical electromechanical assets.
- Electrical System and Power Management
- Supporting electrical system planning and management across stations, including load management, capacity planning, and voltage stability.
- Supporting analysis and optimization of energy efficiency across the portfolio.
- Supporting implementation and monitoring of electrical safety standards and protection systems.
- Technical Standards and Institutionalization
- Supporting development of internal technical standards, SOPs, maintenance procedures, and system documentation for electromechanical infrastructure, including standardized mapping of station electrical systems.
- Supporting training and knowledge transfer to station operations teams on routine electromechanical operations, monitoring, troubleshooting, and maintenance practices.
- English - Basic is preferred
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electromechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience in electromechanical systems, electrical infrastructure for 4 years as a minimum
- Industrial utilities, water infrastructure, or related operational environments.
- Experience working with pumps, motors, electrical distribution systems, control panels, generators, or related infrastructure equipment, including installation, commissioning, troubleshooting, maintenance, and performance optimization.
- Experience coordinating with contractors, suppliers, and specialized technical service providers.
- Strong practical understanding of electrical safety principles and infrastructure reliability.
- Experience in water utilities, industrial infrastructure, or utility-scale operational environments is strongly preferred.
- Strong organizational and technical documentation capability.
- Basic working proficiency in English is an advantage.
- The role will involve regular visits to operating stations and project sites across Cambodia to support electromechanical projects, troubleshooting, inspections, and infrastructure upgrades.
