Job Description
We are now looking for qualified candidates to fulfill the positions below:
- Chinese Translator/interpreter
Job Responsibilities & Duties
- Provide accurate simultaneous and/or consecutive interpretation between Mandarin Chinese and Khmer.
- Translate a variety of documents including, but not limited to, production manuals, safety guidelines, operational procedures, technical specifications, reports, and internal communications from Chinese to Khmer and vice versa.
- Assist in facilitating communication during negotiations with Chinese suppliers or partners.
- Support cross-cultural communication and understanding within the workplace.
- Maintain strict confidentiality of all company information.
- Perform other related duties as assigned to support factory operations.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor or high school's degree in Chinese Language, Translation, or a related field.
- Demonstrated fluency in Mandarin Chinese (spoken and written) and Khmer (spoken and written) is essential.
- Good command of English (spoken and written) is a significant advantage.
- Proven experience as an interpreter/translator, preferably within a manufacturing, industrial, or production environment (experience in timber/plywood sector is a strong plus).
- Ability to accurately interpret in real-time (simultaneous/consecutive).
- Excellent written translation skills with attention to detail and nuance.
- Familiarity with technical terminology related to machinery, production processes, and safety protocols is highly desirable.
- Strong interpersonal and cross-cultural communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and demanding factory setting.
