Job Description
The Maddox Foundation (MJP) is an international NGO working on conservation and rural development in northwest area of Cambodia, with a special focus on Samlaut district, Battambang province. MJP is now inviting applications from qualified and experienced Cambodian for the following position:
- Agriculture Program Assistant (1 Position)
Job Responsibilities & Duties
- Assist the Agriculture Program Officer (APO) in managing and implementing reforestation project which includes seedlings planting, and nurseries management & monitoring.
- Assist the APO in managing and implementing cash crops and income generation project.
- Support the APO in developing annual budgets and project implementation.
- Collaborate with other MJP programs as relevant, particularly the Natural Resources Management and Education programs.
- Coordinate between MJP, relevant counterparts at the community’s level.
- Assist with the annual assessment process for each target community using established criteria.
- Provide community-based follow-up support to each targeted community as needed.
Job Requirements
- Completed formal education in forestry or agronomy.
- Relevant experience in community work is preferred.
- Basic English proficiency is required.
- Basic skills in Computer use such as MS Office and email are required.
- Strong commitment to environmental preservation and community livelihood improvement.
- Physically fit, able to drive a car/motorcycle, holding a valid driving license, and willing to travel.
