Job Description
The Maddox Foundation (MJP) is an international NGO working on rural conservation in the northwestern area of Cambodia, with a specific focus on Samlaut district and Pailin municipality of Battambang and Pailin provinces. MJP is now inviting applications from a qualified and experienced Cambodian national for the following position.
Job Responsibilities & Duties
- Assist the MJP Health Team in developing annual work plan and budget, ensuring alignment with program goals.
- Monitor the daily health activities, collect and entry all related health data.
- Actively participate in MJP Health Team weekly meetings, providing concise updates on project progress, challenges, and proposed solutions.
- Assist the Health Program Officer (HPO) in preparing and reviewing project expense reports to ensure financial accountability.
- Support Health center (HC), Mother support groups (MSGs), and Village Health Support Groups (VHSGs) to organize meetings/workshops with local authority, and villagers.
- Support HC and MSGs to implement Babi Friendly Community Initiative (BFCI) project effective and efficiently.
- Provide interpretation services to the expat health specialist.
- Support HC staff to provide training to MSGs and VHSGs on related subjects.
- Assist the HPO / expat specialist in building capacity of the Beung Run Health Center (BRHC), Chork Rokar Health center (CRKHC), Krachab Health Center, and Bar Yakha Health Center staff.
- Serve as a key liaison for communication and coordination with field-level stakeholders, including Health Centers, Village/Commune Chiefs, MSGs, VHSGs and community leaders, on all health program matters.
Job Requirements
Languages:
- English - Good
- Khmer - Good
- Relevant experiences is preferable (Fresh graduate can also be considered) for 2 years
- Completed formal medical training at least from secondary nurse or above.
- Proficiency in MS Office and email.
- Good comment in written and spoken English and Khmer is a must.
- Strong commitment in helping to improve community’s health
- Physically fit, can drive motorcycle, and willing to work with rural communities.
