Job Description
We are now looking for qualified candidates to fulfill the positions below:
- Primary Teacher
Job Responsibilities & Duties
- Curriculum Delivery:
- Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and interactive lessons in accordance with the Cambridge International Curriculum.
- Implement effective teaching strategies to facilitate student learning and achievement of curriculum objectives.
- Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse learning needs and abilities of students.
- Incorporate appropriate technology and resources to enhance teaching and learning experiences.
- Classroom Management:
- Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes respect, collaboration, and mutual understanding.
- Establish and maintain clear expectations for student behaviour and ensure a safe and orderly classroom setting.
- Manage student behaviour effectively using positive discipline strategies and promote the development of students' social-emotional skills.
- Monitor and assess student progress, provide constructive feedback, and maintain accurate records of student performance.
- Student Support and Engagement:
- Foster a love for learning by inspiring students to explore and develop their interests and talents.
- Provide individualised support to students who require additional assistance, including those with diverse learning needs or English as a second language.
- Encourage active participation and engagement through a variety of instructional methods, group work, and hands-on activities.
- Collaborate with parents/guardians to ensure a strong home-school partnership and communicate student progress regularly.
- Professional Development and Collaboration:
- Stay updated with the latest developments in education, teaching methodologies, and the Cambridge International Curriculum.
- Participate in professional development opportunities, both internal and external, to enhance teaching skills and knowledge.
- Collaborate with colleagues and contribute to a positive and supportive team environment.
- Attend staff meetings, parent-teacher conferences, and school events as required.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Teaching certification/licence or TEFL/TESOL
- Familiarity and experience with the Cambridge International Curriculum is highly desirable.
- Previous experience teaching primary-aged students, preferably in an international school setting.
- Strong knowledge of pedagogical practices, curriculum development, and assessment strategies.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with students, parents, and colleagues.
- Technological proficiency to integrate educational technology into teaching practices.
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple responsibilities effectively.
- Flexibility, adaptability, and a growth mindset to thrive in a dynamic educational environment.
