Job Description
We are looking for qualified candidate to fill for the position below.
Job Responsibilities & Duties
- Teaching and Learning
- Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and age-appropriate lessons by the school’s curriculum.
- Use a variety of teaching strategies to accommodate different learning styles and abilities.
- Assess and report on student progress regularly through tests, projects, and observations.
- Integrate technology and hands-on activities into lessons where appropriate.
- Maintain an organized and stimulating classroom environment.
- Student Development & Well-being
- Monitor and support the academic, social, and emotional development of all students in the class.
- Implement classroom management strategies to promote a positive learning environment.
- Foster students’ sense of responsibility, respect, cooperation, and independence.
- Communication and Collaboration
- Maintain regular communication with parents about student progress, classroom activities, and any concerns.
- Conduct parent-teacher conferences and contribute to student reports.
- Collaborate with other teachers, school staff to support student learning and development.
- Administrative and Supervisory Duties
- Maintain accurate attendance records and student files.
- Supervise students during recess, lunch, assemblies, and school events as required.
- Participate in school events, meetings, and professional development activities.
- Parent–Teacher Conference (PTC)
- Prepare academic progress reports and behavioral notes for each student.
- Share students’ strengths, areas for improvement, and next steps.
- Communicate with subject teachers to gather feedback on students.
- Maintain professionalism, active listening, and constructive feedback during PTC.
- Record parent concerns and ensure follow-up actions are taken.
- Class Decoration
- Plan and maintain a welcoming and engaging classroom environment.
- Ensure decorations reflect current units/themes, seasonal events, and school culture.
- Display student work regularly to boost motivation and pride.
- Keep classroom boards (bulletin boards, subject boards) updated and organized.
- Ensure decorations are safe, neat, and age-appropriate.
- Collaborate with students to involve them in classroom decoration.
