Job Description

PEPY Empowering Youth is a local non-profit and NGO providing personal and professional development training to rural youth in Siem Reap, Cambodia. PEPY Empowering Youth is led by local Cambodians dedicated to helping individuals identify their dreams and find pathways to success. Starting at the high school level, PEPY Empowering Youth’s interwoven programs provide holistic support for young people to have the tools, network, and resources to succeed in school and thrive in the professional setting of their choice

Job Responsibilities & Duties
  • Program development, delivery & coordination
  • work with schools to integrate the Dream Management curriculum into school schedules, recruit students, design teaching materials & develop lessons plans;
  • in cooperation with school representatives, facilitate ‘Dream Classes’ for Grades 10, 11, & 12 students, supporting teachers to deliver Dream Classes independently;
  • design & run assessments (pre-, mid-, & post-program) to measure student progress in areas such as confidence, leadership, & self-esteem;
  • revise & update the Dream Project curriculum for all grades, in collaboration with the Capacity Builder (monthly).
  • Planning
  • develop annual activity & budget plans to support timely procurement of materials, program delivery & alignment with stakeholder needs; and
  • ensure planning includes strategies to enhance learning results & optimize student retention.
  • Teacher & stakeholder partnerships
  • Organize quarterly training workshops & feedback meetings for school & DoEY representatives; and
  • Develop partner & stakeholder relationships to support Skills Fair events & future opportunity for collaboration
  • Monitoring, evaluation & reporting
  • track attendance, participation, & assessment data; analyzing trends to inform program improvements;
  • resolve challenges in program delivery, & escalate critical issues to the Dream Management Coordinator;
  • develop routine reports (quarterly & annually) & contribute to social media communications; and
  • Monitor expenditures, flagging variances, & adjusting spending plans to optimize resource use.
  • Performance development
  • Commit to continuous learning & professional development activity including in relation to mandatory training: and
  • Actively participate in Performance Planning & Review (PPR) processes including self-assessment, goal-setting & feedback discussion & development planning in line with individual & team performance priorities.
  • The DMP Officer may be reasonably required to undertake additional tasks or responsibilities consistent with the position’s level, skills, qualifications, & seniority, as directed by the DMP Coordinator.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in education, youth development or a related field. Partial completion of an ongoing bachelor program & relevant experience may be considered.
Skills & Knowledge:General & Technical Skills
  • Experience in teaching, training, or facilitation with young people, ideally in secondary school or youth program settings
  • demonstrated experience in project coordination, including planning, budgeting, & reporting
  • Familiarity with monitoring & evaluation methods, including the use of data to measure outcomes & guide improvements
  • Strong interpersonal & communication skills, with the ability to build trust & maintain relationships with teachers, school leaders, & community stakeholders
Soft Skills
  • Proficiency in written & verbal communications in Khmer & English
