Job Description
Rainbow Community Kampuchea Organisation (RoCK) is a Cambodian LGBT+ led non-governmental organisation, dedicated to supporting LGBT+ equal rights in Cambodia. RoCK works closely with LGBT+ communities, respective local authorities and national government to ensure long-term protection and support of equal rights and acceptance for LGBT+ people and their families.
- Media and Communication Officer
Job Responsibilities & Duties
- Manage and create contents for the “I Accept” campaign social media pages (Facebook, TikTok), aims at advancing legal marriage equality for LGBT+ couples in Cambodia.
- Monitor and collect information of media coverages and social media on LGBT+ couples (traditional marriage ceremony, acceptance and support from families, public and local authorities).
- Manage and distribute the campaign materials in different online and offline events.
- Engage with target audiences to encourage their participation and support for the campaign.
Job Requirements
- University degree in media studies, communication, social sciences, and relevant programmes.
- Experienced of two years in managing social media (Facebook, TikTok, YouTube)
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work under pressure on challenging and sensitive issues
- Ability to work independently and with the team, with a high level of professional discipline and responsibility
- A good command of written and spoken communication in English and fluency in Khmer
- Digital media proficiency and graphic design skill (MS. Word, Excel, Power Point, Adobe Photoshop, Audition, Premier, Canva design, and Email)
- Critical thinking and creativity
- Good communication and flexibility.
