Job Description

Samaritan’s Purse International Relief (SP) is a nonprofit, nondenominational, evangelical Christian Organization providing spiritual and physical aid to hurting people around the world. We are seeking qualified candidate to fill the positions as following based in Pailin province.

  • WASH School Engagement Coordinator
Job Responsibilities & Duties
  • Establish and maintain excellent working relationships with school teachers, government officials and school committee members
  • Prepare SP monthly reports detailing all project activities and progress towards key indicators, including impact stories and pictures and send these to the WASH Senior Technical Coordinator
  • Support staff to engage in program planning for school targeting and student and teacher trainings
  • Monitor the content and effectiveness of WASH curriculum, and discuss challenges and changes with staff
  • Supervise monitoring database of the project and report weekly and monthly statistics to the WASH Technical Senior Coordinator
  • Support staff to schedule and conduct cleaning campaigns in schools
  • Ensure Water, Sanitation and Hygiene messaging is accurate and effective and that activities are reached on time
  • Ensure Safe Migration and Trafficking Awareness messaging is shared with school teachers and students
  • Submit a weekly/monthly budget plan to supervisor
  • Support and involve staff in the conduction of baseline/end line surveys
  • Assist in the research and planning of future WASH projects within Cambodia and compile request lists from potential future project target areas
  • Organize and participate in donor visits by clearly explaining all aspects of the project and assisting with beneficiary preparedness
  • Comply and submit monthly FERs (Financial Expense Reports) and keep detailed record of receipts
  • Perform other responsibilities as assigned by the WASH Senior Technical Coordinator and WASH Program Manager
Job Requirements
  • Strong Christian who is committed to Samaritan’s Purse mission, core values, and policies
  • Bachelor’s Degree or at least 2 years of experience in a WASH-related field
  • Strong project management skills and understanding of community development concepts
  • Highly organized and motivated individual with proven experience managing tasks and individuals
  • Ability to motivate others to action
  • Good understanding of curriculum building and training
  • Flexible person who can work well under pressure to meet deadlines
  • Able to delegate tasks and support staff to help them grow in their abilities
  • Creative and analytical skills to assist with future programming
  • Ability to read and write in Khmer and English; proficient in English comprehension
  • Budget management experience
  • Willingness to travel if required (often on rough terrain)
  • Has compassion for the poor and needy
