Job Description

Job Requirements
Languages:
  • English - Good
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in education or any relevant field of climate resilient education study and related experiences.
Work History:
  • Experience in education project management, especially in partnership with MoEYS, PoEYS, and NGOs (Essential) for 4 years as a minimum
  • Experience in building capacity of school management committee, teachers, students and local authorities (Desired) for 4 years as a minimum
Skills & Knowledge:General & Technical Skills
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in environmental education and climate change, DRR/safe school, Early Warning System (EWS), Climate information system (CiS), and humanitarian and emergency response; understanding of gender equality, disability inclusion, environmental and social safeguarding
  • Strong coordination, advocacy and effective communication skills with NGO partners and government partners at sub-national and community levels;
  • Ability and willingness to travel to multiple provinces, districts, schools and communities, and willingness to abide by SCI Child Protection Policy/Child Safeguarding and Code of Conduct;
Soft Skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and flexible working hours;
  • Ability to use spoken and written English
