We work with government partners and local NGOs to improve children’s live especially marginalized and disadvantaged children. Save the Children is looking for high quality national motivated candidates to fill in different positions across the country office.
The Purpose of the Role
- Working in partnership is central to Save the Children’s Theory of Change on how to maximize our impact for children, and is a key element of the 2016-2018 Cambodia Country Strategic Plan (CSP). In 2017, developing and rolling out a Partnership Strategy has been identified as one of the “Top Ten” country office priorities.
- The Partnership Manager will lead and coordinate this effort, working to develop a strategic framework and systems to strengthen our partnerships with government, civil society, the private sector, research institutions and others. The Manager will play a lead role in strengthening Save the Children in Cambodia’s approaches to partnership, building on SCI’s global partnership principles.
- S/he will work across departments to establish systems and approaches for identifying, pursuing and maintaining effective partnerships that contribute to Save the Children’s strategic direction and support reaching breakthroughs for children in Cambodia.
- Passion for leveraging partnerships for strategic achievement of organizational goals, mutually beneficial relationships, strengthening civil society/government/etc.
- Master's Degree in social sciences, or any relevant field. Extensive and substantive relevant practical experience may be considered in lieu of a Master's Degree;
- A minimum of 7 years relevant work experience, including at least 3 years of management experience;
- Experience designing and implementing development programming in Cambodia.
- Deep knowledge of local partnership, civil society and donor context;
- Demonstrated skills in systems thinking and policy development
- Ability to positively influence cross departmental and cross sector working; demonstrated understanding of basic departmental roles and functions.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Strong interpersonal and facilitation skills;
- Training, capacity building, coaching, and mentoring skills;
- Ability and willingness to dramatically change work practices and hours, and work with incoming teams, in emergencies;
- Commitment to and understanding of Save the Children’s aims, values and principles including rights-based approaches;
- Fluency in written and spoken English and Khmer;
