- Assist the Executive Chef in overseeing all kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking, and presentation.
- Supervise, train, and support kitchen staff to maintain proper cooking techniques and service standards.
- Ensure all dishes are prepared consistently according to recipes, portion sizes, and quality expectations.
- Monitor kitchen workflow and delegate tasks effectively to meet service demands.
- Assist with menu planning, recipe development, and food cost control.
- Ensure compliance with hygiene, safety, and sanitation regulations in accordance with hotel standards.
- Oversee inventory management, including ordering, receiving, and storing ingredients properly.
- Check food freshness, quality, and proper storage daily.
- Handle guest feedback related to food quality and collaborate with the Executive Chef on improvements.
- Participate in controlling labor costs and managing efficient staff scheduling.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and all workstations.
- Assist in managing special events, banquets, and seasonal menu updates.
- Step in and lead the kitchen in the absence of the Executive Chef.
- Foster teamwork, discipline, and a positive working environment within the kitchen.
- High School Diploma in or degree in Culinary Arts or related field is preferred
- Minimum 4–6 years of kitchen experience, with at least 2–3 years in a supervisory or sous chef role.
- Strong knowledge of international and local cuisines, food production, and cooking techniques.
- Proven leadership and team management skills.
- Strong understanding of kitchen hygiene, food safety, and sanitation standards.
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Creative mindset with passion for culinary innovation and presentation.
- Good communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize workloads effectively.
