Job Description
The Rabbit School Organization (RSO) is a local NGO established in 1997 to provide education for children with intellectual disabilities in Phnom Penh. We initially launched integrated classes and vocational training programs at Toul Kork Primary School in Phnom Penh. In 2014, we expanded our services to three additional provinces: Kandal, Kampong Speu, and Siem Reap.
We are currently seeking a dedicated and qualified individual to fill the position of Vocational Training and Job Placement Project Manager.
- Vocational Training and Job Placement Project Manager (1 Position)
Job Responsibilities & Duties
- Work closely together with Rabbit School program team to develop monthly work plan according to the approved RSO master plan.
- Develop the terms of references, and fund request for project implementation as well as develop the activity report.
- Oversee vocational training for students, manage staff, and monitor student internships within the private sector.
- Assist Financial/Executive Director to develop the yearly budget, quarterly and monthly when it is required by donors.
- Prepare organize training course/teaching materials and manpower needed for inclusive/integration education and other necessary training.
- Consult with technical staff, admin and finance, parents and other relevant stakeholders in order to enhance effectively of the project implementation.
- Conduct awareness-raising and training sessions for the private sector on the rights of youth with intellectual disabilities and inclusive employment opportunities.
- Advocate and communicate with ministries, private sector, and NGOs to facilitate job placements and improve the employment environment.
- Contribute to the development, implementation, and evaluation of the Rabbit School strategic plan.
- Prepare communication and reporting documents in both Khmer and English.
- Host the visitors of the program when the is absent or when program manager and executive Director necessary
- Coordinate and network with relevant organizations and government agencies at provincial and national level.
- Assist the program manager and executive director with additional tasks as needed.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in education or social development, with at least 3 years of proven work experience.
- Proficient in using computers for communication, documentation, and reporting.
- Fluent in Khmer (spoken, read, and written) and proficient in English.
- Strong understanding of human rights and the rights and needs of children/youth with disabilities in Cambodia.
- Passionate about working with youth with intellectual disabilities.
- Skilled in monitoring and evaluating student internships and job placements.
- Ability to communicate and negotiate with the private sector regarding job placements.
- Experience in lobbying ministries on vocational training and job placement initiatives.
- Knowledge of government policies related to vocational training and job placement.
- Responsible, honest, and committed to ethical values and accountability.
- Strong team player with excellent interpersonal skills
