Our Cambodia Office is seeking for Three (03) Cambodian candidates to fill in the position below:


I. THE PURPOSE OF THE PROJECT

The project will be implemented by project team which consists of one Senior Project Manager and 3 Project Coordinators. The project team will work closely with AP Managers of respective districts to ensure completion and achievements of the project outcomes, outputs, and activities. The Senior Project Manager will report to the Regional Manager in Preah Vihear Operational Office with the grant compliant support from Senior Manager for Grant/PNS and GIK. The Child Protection, Education Technical Teams the Senior Campaign Manager will provide technical support the project team.

Location: Sangkum Thmey AP (01), Chey Sen AP (01), Chhaeb AP (01) of Preah Vihear Province
Salary: 585 USD- 732 USD

Position Purpose: The position is responsible for facilitating the implementation and monitoring the project activities according to the approved project design and aligned with the Implementation Guidelines for Child Protection in Schools Policy (IGCPSP); working closely with other staff, partners and other stakeholders in the community to achieve the project goal to address the root causes of trafficking and other forms of violence against children. The position will work closely with school teachers and both formal and informal which includes child protection groups, NGOs, CBO and other Faith Based Group to promote transformation of social norms and behaviors that protect children, empower children and youth to develop their protective skills and resilience and engage in protective activities and, mobilize citizens and other stakeholders improve local actions to address VAC in schools.

Job Responsibilities & Duties

Project Implementation

  • Facilitate the implementation of the project activities according to approved design and annual plan and budget, in close collaboration with other staff and thematic projects, partners and communities
  • Collect regular monitoring data based on approved project M&E plan in coordination with M&E people, AP team and partners
  • Facilitate to deliver ToT teachers training package in target schools
  • Support and coach core-trainers to deliver training package on the IGCPSP
  • Monitor the number of VAC cases referred in and through schools (esp. for internal action, MoEYS, as well as for external action CCWC, police, health center, NGO services.)
  • Deliver the training package to the students councils in target schools
  • Facilitate to conduct workshops in district with CBCPM members to orient them on the IGCPSP and ensure common understanding on roles and responsibilities with the SBCPM
  • Develop and disseminate the Child Protection in Schools Referral Pathway (CPSRP) communications to community members e.g. via billboards, posters, radio announcements, social media m Work with CBCPMs and target schools to conduct quarterly meetings to jointly monitor and update progress on the roll out of the IGCPSP messages etc.
  • Conduct teacher-student forums in each target school to discuss different forms of violence experienced in and through schools, including identifying the existing gender and social norms that positively and negatively impact on safe learning environments for all children
  • Work with girl and boy and non-binary students to develop and implement a child-friendly action plan for prevention and protection from violence against children in and through schools
  • Facilitate community dialogues with community based child protection actors to discuss and document the different forms of violence experienced by girls and boys, including identifying the existing gender and social norms that positively and negatively impact upon on violence against girls, boys, and children with disabilities

Project Monitoring, Learning and Reporting

  • Assist Project Manager to enhance partners communities’ capacity to implement project activities
  • Conduct regular and ongoing project monitoring as defined in the project M&E plan
  • Provide regular and timely monitoring data from project implementation
  • Conduct regular project reflection with partners, school directors and teachers, community members, children and youth and other stakeholder to ensure project accountability and learning
  • Document project learning and recommendations from monitoring and reflection with communities, partners and other stakeholder
  • Disseminate project key lessons learned and recommendations to partners, communities and other stakeholders to ensure ongoing learning on good practices

Other relevant responsibilities

  • Promote teamwork among AP team in learning, training, and spiritual nurture
  • Enhance a positive identity of WVI-C including promoting positive relationship with all project staff and other internal and external stakeholders
  • Attend and participate in weekly chapel services and daily devotional meetings
  • Carry out additional responsibilities and projects as assigned by project manager
Job Requirements
  • Bachelor Degree in Law, psychology, Social sciences or Rural Development
  • Knowledge in community mobilization techniques is an advantage
  • Competent in verbal and written English communication
  • Computer literate; Microsoft Word and Excel
  • At least 3 years experiences in child protection and/or trafficking, community mobilization, local level advocacy
  • Experience in project and program design, implementation, monitoring, evaluation, and report writing
  • Experiences in coordination and provide training social work or community work to communities
  • Proven basic networking ability and experiences
  • Previous experience in advocacy and trafficking
  • As part of the World Vision Cambodia mandate requirements for new staff, all candidates who are offered job are required to produce Local Police Clearance Certificate prior to date of joining in the organisation.
