Job Description

CIS seeks experienced candidates for the position below:

Job Responsibilities & Duties
  • Services at the Main Reception, Community Centre
  • Promptly answer phone calls in a pleasant, informed manner
  • Greet and assist students, families and other guests arriving in person
  • Inform staff of visitor arrivals by phone, email or chat message
  • Label incoming mail and shipments, and inform the owners that the items have arrived
  • Contact parents and other relevant parties when needed
  • Work closely with teachers and the principals to update student attendance records
  • Receive parent queries and see them through to resolution by liaising with relevant teams and departments
  • Events and support for new families
  • Provide interpretation assistance during parent orientations and in the Main Reception area if needed
  • Work with the Community Partnerships Team to organize and facilitate orientation sessions for new families, and to co-host parent events such as social evenings and hands-on experience days
  • Join meetings of the Community Partnerships Team and contribute to collaborative processes aimed at improving support and services for families
Job Requirements
Languages:
  • Khmer - Fluent
  • English - Fluent
  • Korean is preferred
Work History:
  • At least experience in office administration, events management or customer service (e.g. front desk management) role, ideally in an international school environment for 2 years
Skills & Knowledge:General & Technical Skills
  • Possession of a valid First Aid and CPR (Level C) certification is required
  • Experience engaging directly with parents and families
  • Experience providing Khmer-English interpretation support a strong asset
  • Good ICT skills; working knowledge of Google Workspace, namely Google Sheets and Forms
  • Proficient in written and spoken English and Khmer; Korean or Mandarin language skills an advantage
  • Good systems thinker, able to unpack complex dynamics, and excellent critical thinking skills
  • Interested in learning about and applying knowledge of educational concepts, such as inquiry-based learning, and parent-school partnership models
Soft Skills
  • Able to be polite and clear when communicating in difficult situations
  • Strong interpersonal skills, and able to build and maintain relationships with multiple stakeholders and to communicate across teams
  • Brings flexibility, a positive mindset, attention to detail, and a solutions-focussed attitude
  • Creative and keen to contribute new and relevant ideas to support parent-school partnerships
  • Comfortable engaging with and discussing concepts of diversity, equity, inclusion and belonging
  • Demonstrates cultural competence and enjoys learning about new cultures
  • Comfortable meeting and greeting new people, as well as addressing small and large groups
  • Willingness to work some evenings and certain weekends to support parent events as needed
