Founded in 1991, Enfants d’Asie is a French organization aiming at improving the lives of disadvantaged children in Southeast Asia. Its action is strictly humanitarian, apolitical and non-confessional. Enfants d’Asie is involved in 4 countries in Southeast Asia: Cambodia, Laos, Vietnam and the Philippines. EA strives to uphold and protect the rights of every child, ensuring they have access to quality education, healthcare, protection from harm, and the opportunity to reach their full potential.
Enfants d'Asie is active in Cambodia since 1991 and is working in collaboration with the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sport (MoEYS), Ministry of Social Affairs, Veterans and Youth Rehabilitation (MoSVY) and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation.
Enfants d’Asie in Cambodia is currently working to reorganize and strengthen the support and social monitoring of children and their families, to facilitate the family reintegration process for children who have been placed in residential care institutions and to prevent the risks of separation between the children and their families.
- Liaison & Field Officer
- Selection process:
- Identify potential new beneficiaries regarding EAC criteria - upon request from the line manager or the sponsorship officer at Headquarters - through an in-depth social assessment (initial social inquiry) of the child and his/her family
- Collect all official and relevant documents (family book; poverty card etc.)
- Introduce potential new beneficiaries to the line manager and sponsorship officer at Headquarters
- In case of approved EAC support, inform the family accordingly and make them sign the sponsorship agreement
- Case management:
- Conduct regular home visits and communication at distance to assess the well-being, educational progress, and overall development of sponsored children.
- Monitor children's academic performance, health, and psychosocial well-being.
- Identify and address any challenges faced by children and their families, such as poverty, abuse, neglect, or discrimination.
- Develop and implement individualized support plans for each child in collaboration with families, schools, and other relevant stakeholders.
- Facilitate the family reintegration process for children who have been placed in residential care institutions (including EAC centers and State Orphanages partners) and to prevent the risks of separation between the children and their families.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all casework activities in the organization's databases (Salesforce ; Excel databases…).
- When necessary, provide material or financial support to the children during field missions
- Provide complete, accountable, transparent invoices and receipts to the finance department
- Relations with partners and sponsors:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with local communities, including schools, health centers, and local authorities (e.g., Commune/Sangkat Committees, CCWC, Department of Social Affairs, Department of Education).
- Identify relevant NGOs or local CSOs in order to develop collaborations and synergies to reinforce the quality of services provided to the children
- Collaborate closely with local partners to ensure the effective delivery of services to children.
- Participate in community-based activities and awareness-raising campaigns.
- Sponsorship:
- Organise and manage workshop to make children write letters to theirs sponsors - twice a year
- Request the goodbye letters and/or thank you letters from children to sponsors
- Communicate sponsors’ letters to the children and collect the reply letters when necessary
- Organize visits for sponsors to meet their sponsored children in compliance with EAC internal policies
- Organize and manage awareness workshops on specific and relevant thematics
- Write school year report for each sponsored student
- Representation:
- Represent EAC in relevant meetings or events related to social work as required by the line manager
