KSCAC (Kaksekor Sen Chey Agricultural Cooperative) is seeking a qualified and committed Full-Time Crop Manager to lead and strengthen the cooperative’s crop production operations, greenhouse systems, vegetable farming, and field management.

Job Responsibilities & Duties
  • BSF Production System Management
  • Plan, operate, supervise, and manage KSCAC’s Black Soldier Fly (BSF) production system.
  • Oversee BSF breeding, egg production, larvae production, harvesting, processing, and waste conversion systems.
  • Ensure stable and efficient BSF production cycles.
  • Maintain optimal biological conditions to maximize larvae productivity.
  • Organic Waste Management & Feed Conversion
  • Manage the collection and processing of organic waste for BSF larvae feeding.
  • Ensure proper waste sorting, preparation, and feeding protocols.
  • Improve waste-to-protein conversion efficiency.
  • Reduce waste disposal costs while maximizing BSF productivity.
  • Larvae Production & Quality Control
  • Monitor egg hatch rates, larvae growth, survival rates, harvesting schedules, and output quality.
  • Ensure consistent production of BSF larvae as a protein source for fish, livestock, and poultry feed.
  • Monitor frass production for use as organic fertilizer.
  • Maintain hygiene and quality standards throughout the production process.
  • Biosecurity & Environmental Control
  • Maintain clean BSF production facilities and proper sanitation systems.
  • Control temperature, humidity, airflow, and environmental conditions.
  • Prevent contamination, disease outbreaks, pests, and biological system failures.
  • Ensure compliance with biosecurity SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures).
  • Feed Cost Reduction & Integrated Farming Support
  • Support KSCAC’s strategy to reduce feed costs through local BSF protein production.
  • Coordinate BSF production with aquaculture, livestock, aquaponics, and crop production systems.
  • Support KSCAC’s circular agriculture and integrated farming systems.
  • Help convert farm waste into valuable feed and fertilizer products.
  • Production Planning & Operational Control
  • Develop BSF production plans based on KSCAC’s feed demand and production requirements.
  • Coordinate daily BSF operations under KSCAC’s Operational Command System (OCS).
  • Monitor production indicators, conversion efficiency, mortality rates, and operational performance.
  • Ensure BSF production aligns with KSCAC’s profitability and cash flow management objectives.
  • Cost Control & Profitability Management
  • Control BSF operational costs, including waste collection, labor, electricity, equipment, and processing expenses.
  • Improve operational efficiency and reduce system losses.
  • Support leadership in evaluating the profitability of BSF production operations.
  • Contribute to transforming BSF operations into a feed cost reduction center and future profit center.
  • Operational Reporting & Data Management
  • Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly BSF production reports.
  • Maintain accurate records of:
  • Egg production
  • Hatch rates
  • Larvae growth
  • Feed input
  • Waste conversion
  • Mortality rates
  • Harvest output
  • Frass production
  • Cost and productivity indicators.
  • Coordinate reporting with the Financial Command System and OCS dashboard.
  • Support leadership by providing real-time production intelligence and operational data.
  • Team Leadership & Staff Supervision
  • Supervise BSF production workers and technical staff.
  • Train staff on BSF SOPs, hygiene systems, larvae handling, and waste management procedures.
  • Maintain discipline, accountability, and productivity across BSF operations.
  • Ensure daily tasks are completed properly, efficiently, and on schedule.
  • Research, Innovation & Scale-Up
  • Support pilot testing and innovation in BSF production systems.
  • Identify opportunities to improve protein yield and fertilizer output.
  • Assist KSCAC leadership in scaling BSF operations into a commercial circular agriculture business.
  • Support long-term feed factory and integrated farming development plans.
Job Requirements
Skills & Knowledge:General & Technical Skills
  • Experience in BSF farming, insect farming, waste management, livestock feed production, or biological farming systems.
  • Knowledge of organic waste recycling and biological production systems.
  • Understanding of hygiene, biosecurity, and environmental control systems.
  • Ability to prepare reports and maintain operational records.
  • Experience in commercial farming, feed production, or circular agriculture systems is an advantage.
Soft Skills
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Honest, disciplined, hardworking, and responsible.
  • Willingness to stay full-time at the KSCAC Head Office in Kampong Cham Province.
