Shrewsbury International School Phnom Penh (SISPP) is "A School like no other in Cambodia". SISPP offers a British style education based on the National Curriculum of England for pupils in primary and secondary school.
Our school is the newest member of the Shrewsbury family of schools to open for business, and our business is the 'serious fun' of learning. We are deeply connected to one of the most prestigious schools in the UK, Shrewsbury School, which is almost 500 years old and has nurtured distinguished alumni such as the famous naturalist Charles Darwin.
Our primary school opened in 2022 and this year, in September 2026, our new world class school, for all age groups, will open in a spectacular 7 hectare campus in Sen Sok.

We are now looking for qualified candidates to fulfill the positions below:
- Support for Students
- To support students’ physical development and promote independence, confidence and participation in a safe, secure and encouraging sporting environment.
- To assist students during PE and swimming lessons, ensuring safety, engagement and inclusion for all learners.
- To act as a positive role model, demonstrating high expectations for teamwork, effort, resilience and sportsmanship.
- To encourage students to participate actively in physical activities and develop a positive attitude towards sport and healthy lifestyles.
- To supervise students during physical activities, ensuring adherence to safety procedures and school policies.
- To observe and support the development and progress of students in PE and swimming activities.
- To support students of varying abilities, adapting support to meet individual needs.
- To promote the inclusion and acceptance of all students within physical activity settings.
- Support for Teachers
- To assist PE teachers in the preparation and delivery of PE and swimming lessons.
- To support swimming sessions in the school pool, assisting with organisation, safety supervision and equipment management.
- To set up, organise and safely store sports equipment before and after lessons.
- To provide feedback to teachers regarding student participation, progress and behaviour during lessons.
- To assist with the organisation and smooth running of sports activities, competitions and fixtures.
- To support the supervision of students during sports events, practices and tournaments.
- To provide general administrative or practical support to the PE department when required.
- Support for the Curriculum
- To assist in preparing equipment and resources for indoor and outdoor physical activities.
- To support the delivery of PE curriculum activities across the Early Years and Primary School.
- To assist with swimming lessons, ensuring equipment is available and safety procedures are followed.
- To support the development of students’ skills, coordination, and confidence through structured physical activities.
- To maintain and organise PE equipment and facilities to ensure they remain safe and ready for use.
- Support for the School
- To promote the school’s ethos, policies and values through sport and physical activity.
- To promote positive behaviour, teamwork and respect during all sporting activities.
- To supervise and support students during break times, sporting activities, outings and events where required.
- To assist with school sporting events including Sports Days, swimming galas, competitions and tournaments.
- To support the school’s co-curricular sports programme, assisting with after-school clubs, training sessions and teams.
- To be willing to support occasional weekend sporting activities, including Saturday morning events or competitions when required.
- To attend staff meetings and training sessions as required.
- To comply fully with safeguarding, health and safety, and school policies at all times.
- To maintain confidentiality regarding all student information.
- To contribute positively to the wider life of the school and its sporting culture.
- Personal Development
- To participate actively in professional development opportunities related to physical education, coaching or swimming instruction.
- To engage positively in the Staff Development Cycle and professional reflection process.
- To develop knowledge and skills that enhance the delivery of physical education and sports programmes.
- To contribute ideas and support initiatives that strengthen the school’s sports provision.
- Experience working with children in a school, sports or coaching environment.
- Interest in sport, physical activity and working with young learners.
- Ability to support PE lessons and swimming sessions safely and effectively.
- Understanding of safeguarding and student welfare responsibilities.
- Experience assisting in Physical Education or sports coaching.
- Experience supporting swimming lessons or aquatic activities.
- First Aid or lifeguarding qualification.
- Relevant sports coaching or physical education qualification.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.

- Good organisational skills and ability to manage equipment and activities efficiently.
