Job Description

We are now looking for qualified candidate to fulfill the position below:

  • Vice Campus Principal of Academic and Well-Being
Job Responsibilities & Duties
  • Curriculum Implementation
  • Oversees the successful implementation of the ZYIS trilingual curriculum, ensuring alignment with Cambodian national standards, international benchmarks, and ZYIS's mission
  • Works closely with program coordinators (National, International, and Chinese) to ensure smooth integration of project-based learning, technology, and leadership development into the curriculum.
  • Collaborates with academic teams to implement and refine innovative teaching materials and resources that cater to diverse learning styles and promote intercultural understanding.
  • Stays abreast of current educational best practices and trends in trilingual education, incorporating relevant insights into curriculum implementation processes.
  • Instructional Support
  • Provides ongoing coaching, mentoring, and support to faculty members across all programs to enhance instructional effectiveness and create a positive learning environment.
  • Observes classroom instruction regularly, providing constructive feedback and working collaboratively with teachers to improve instructional strategies and techniques.
  • Establishes a culture of shared best practices among faculty members, encouraging collaboration and professional growth through peer observations and feedback sessions.
  • Creates opportunities for teachers to share their expertise and learn from each other through workshops, presentations, and collaborative projects.
  • Assessment and Evaluation
  • Develops and implements comprehensive assessment strategies that accurately measure student learning outcomes and academic growth in line with national and international standards.
  • Analyzes student performance data to identify areas of strength and weakness, informing curriculum development and instructional decision-making.
  • Works with teachers to set clear, measurable learning objectives and success criteria for students, ensuring a focus on student achievement and growth.
  • Monitors the effectiveness of assessment practices and adapts them as needed to ensure accurate measurement of student learning.
  • Teacher Professional Development
  • Champions ongoing professional development opportunities for teachers, providing access to relevant workshops, conferences, and training programs.
  • Encourages participation in external professional networks and communities of practice to foster a culture of lifelong learning among faculty.
  • Organizes internal professional development sessions on topics such as innovative teaching methods, differentiated instruction, and technology integration.
  • Creates opportunities for teachers to engage in research, action research projects, or other initiatives to improve their practice and share their knowledge.
  • Academic Standards
  • Sets high expectations for academic performance and student achievement across all programs, ensuring alignment with ZYIS's commitment to excellence.
  • Monitors and upholds rigorous academic standards in curriculum design, instructional practices, and assessment.
  • Collaborates with teachers to identify and address learning gaps or challenges faced by students, providing targeted interventions and support.
  • Works with parents and guardians to communicate academic expectations and progress, fostering a partnership that promotes student success.
  • General Support:
  • Provide operational support, assist with special projects, and undertake tasks as assigned.
Job Requirements
  • Education:
  • At least Master's degree in Education Administration, Curriculum and Instruction, or an education-related field.
  • Experience:
  • Minimum of 4-5 years of experience in a leadership role within an educational institution, with a proven track record of curriculum development and instructional improvement.
  • Experience working in an international school setting is a strong plus.
  • Skills:
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Deep understanding of curriculum development and assessment practices.
  • Expertise in a specific curriculum area is a plus.
  • Ability to motivate, inspire, and provide effective support to faculty members.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in data analysis and interpretation.
  • Fluency in Khmer and English; proficiency in Mandarin Chinese is a plus.
  • Strong HR, business development and professional skill.
  • Desirable Qualities
  • Passion for ZYIS's mission and core values, particularly the focus on trilingual education.
  • Understanding of Cambodian culture and the local educational landscape.
  • Commitment to fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement in the academic program.
  • Ability to build and maintain positive relationships with diverse stakeholders.
