Job Description

Job Requirements
Languages:
  • English - Fluent
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Social Sciences, Law, Development Studies, Human Rights, Legal Studies, or another relevant field is required. Extensive and substantive practical experience may be considered in lieu of a formal degree.
Work History:
  • Relevant work experience in child right governance, child protection, preferably in the advocacy of children’s rights for 3 to 5 years
Skills & Knowledge:General & Technical Skills
  • Strong understanding of UNCRC, UPR, decentralization and de-concentration guidelines, child rights reporting, good governance, social accountability, and related policies.
  • Proven experience strengthening the capacity of CSO partners, gradually a shifting power, and coordinating CSOs and duty bearers at both national and sub-national levels.
  • Good understanding of child rights and child participation concepts and approaches.
  • Exceptional facilitation and presentation skills (considered a strong advantage).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
Soft Skills
  • Excellent conceptualization and critical thinking skills.
  • Strong abilities in teamwork, coordination, networking, and advocacy.
  • Ability and willingness to travel throughout the country.
  • Commitment to abide by Save the Children International’s Child Safeguarding Policy and Code of Conduct.
