Job Description
We are looking for qualified candidate to fill for the position below.
Job Responsibilities & Duties
- Curriculum or Course Outline Delivery
- Plan and deliver lessons according to the Chinese curriculum and PSIS academic standards.
- Apply appropriate differentiation strategies to meet the needs of all learners.
- Assessment and Reporting
- Conduct both formative and summative assessments.
- Track student learning progress and produce timely academic reports.
- Classroom Climate and Inclusion
- Create a positive, respectful, and inclusive learning environment.
- Promote student engagement and encourage disciplined behavior.
- Professional Collaboration and Development
- Collaborate in lesson planning and school events.
- Participate in monthly educational technical meetings and teacher mentoring programs.
- Reflective Practice and Teacher Awards
- Regularly self-assess and adjust teaching strategies.
- Maintain a professional portfolio for award nominations and peer recognition.
- Parent and Caregiver Engagement
- Communicate with parents regarding student progress and classroom behavior.
- Prepare and participate in at least two parent-teacher conferences per year.
- Child Protection and School Culture
- Uphold school’s child protection policies and model ethical conduct.
- Actively contribute to school events and activities.
- Marketing Participation
- Support marketing-related school events like open houses and student showcases.
- Risk Management and Crisis Response
- Follow safety and emergency protocols.
- Participate in drills and maintain awareness of classroom-level risk management.
Job Requirements
Languages:
- Chinese - Fluent
- English - Basic
- Bachelor's Degree in Chinese Language, Education, or a related field
- Teaching experience (preferably in international, bilingual, or primary/secondary education settings) for 1 to 2 years as a minimum
- Certification in Teaching Chinese as a Foreign Language (TCFL/CTCSOL) is an advantage.
- Experience teaching young and adult learners is a plus.
- Proficiency in Mandarin Chinese (native or near-native level).
- Basic English communication skills for coordination with staff or non-Chinese speaking students.
- Classroom management and lesson delivery skills.
- Ability to use visual aids, multimedia, and educational tools in teaching.
